Touch Foundation, Excel-based tool creation for health worker distribution
Mwanza, Tanzania

I transformed Tanzania’s model for healthcare worker distribution by creating POA, an excel-based tool, on a 5 person team. The Tanzanian government adopted POA as an official HRH tool in 2017.

I navigated researching 60 participants in fast-paced, changing cultural environment to analyze cross-cultural differences in musical preference between Indian and American participants.

Content Analysis of Oral Storytelling as a Participatory Action Research Methodology
University of Cape Coast, Ghana

 

I designed and carried out a PAR study on oral storytelling in Cape Coast, Ghana. I have presented the findings at PreMed Fest, a local library's children's program, and URDT in Uganda.

Artchange, Ethnographic Research and Filmmaking

I experimented in short-form storytelling for the project "14 Miles." I supported the making of 11 community-led micro-documentaries about place and identity in a town of less than 9,000 people surrounded by mountains and ocean.

I designed a novel study with 3 international investigators, using new psychological software, Mousetracker to create an innovative continuous theory of mind task within the time constraint of 2 months.

Early Learning Lab, Child Computational Foundations for Question-asking Strategies
University of California, Berkeley

I increased research participation of children by 50% (recruited 8-16 kids per session) which contributed to the discovery that by the age of 5, children have the computational foundations for successful question-asking strategies. See resulting study below!
